Winternitz notes that this MS gives Maṅkhuka as the author's name, whereas Rājānaka Ruyyaka (or Rucaka) is mentioned as the author of this work. In 'Classified index to the Sanskrit MSS. in the Palace at Tanjore' by A. C. Burnell (London, 1880) p.54a, the name of the author is given as 'Kāśmīrasāndhivigrahikamaṅkhuka'. For a further discussion of the author's name with references, see Winternitz catalogue entry.
